My Story; Sharmac Villa
Hi I’m Sharmac
Villa, I am a traditional Bulgarian house situated in a lovely traditional
village with all the village comforts. The
name of the village I’m in is Dyulevo which is near to a town called Sredets
which is part of the Sredets Municipality and not far from the Strandja
Mountains it is also close to a major city called Burgas so there’s plenty
around me for people to do but you can also enjoy the quite life that I can
offer with the beautiful area of country that surrounds me.
A few years back
I was in a sorry state and I needed lots of work doing to me, basically I was
almost derelict, I thought my days as nice village house and home were over but
then to my surprise they turned up out of the blue, yes my new owners Ian and
Sharon McCallum along with their son Charlie, they had seen the love I had to
offer and then when they bought me I was overjoyed, I WAS BACK.
Then the day
came when the McCallum’s moved in and it was also the day that great changes
were to be made. Ian, Sharon and young
Charlie, assisted by some Bulgarian workers and some other English in the area
started the long hard job of giving me a face lift and completely renovating
me. It took a number of years but finally
it happened, I became a Bed ‘&’ Breakfast the only one in my area, I am so
proud and so happy the McCallum`s came
to my rescue.
Let me tell you
a bit about the McCallum’s as I have known them for quite a few years now, their
is Ian (also known as Mac), he used to have his own business in the UK, Mac is
a mechanic and he owned a garage but he could also turn his hands to allsorts
of jobs especially D.I.Y which helped with my renovation.
Then theirs
Sharon (also know as Shaz), Shaz used to be a swimming teacher and an aqua fit instructor
she is also a full time mother, I see Shaz as an enthusiastic well liked woman
and she loves it here, Shas runs my B ‘&’ B and she also likes looking
after my garden, always making things such as jams, pickles and various other
things from my garden. When we have
guest in my B ‘&’ B she is always kept very busy.
Then last but
not least theirs Charlie, Charlie is a young lad and he pretty much gets up to
things that young lads do, I do not have to
explain much about that as I think you know what I mean. Charlie attends
a local Bulgarian school and has done so for a couple of years and he can now
speak fluent Bulgarian which is a big help to a lot of people, Charlie has made
a lot of new friends in and out of the village.
Oh I must not
forget to mention the dog, Patch. Patch
is a Bulgarian dog and he loves doing Bulgarian dog things, NOTHING !!!
So if you are
ever in Bulgaria
and you want somewhere nice to stay with a friendly helpful family in a nice
quite village but with all the amenities nearby, give me a go
